PARENTS/GUARDIANS/Community Members  -  Come Ride with us!

If you’re a parent, guardian, or a community member that would like to ride with Piedmont DEVO please sign a ONE-TIME waiver to ride with us 1 time.   

If you'd like to ride with us during the season, we're stoked to have you join our team!  NICA requires that you attain Level 1 coach certification to participate on rides.

First, register in Pit Zone — email our Team Director Heather Robertson to be invited as a Coach. During the Pit Zone registration, you’ll be asked to pay a NICA License Membership fee which includes the fee for required background check.  Please let Heather know if you’d like to be reimbursed as we have some budget to cover this fee.

After registering in Pit Zone, you’ll need to attain a Level 1 coach certification (~ 2hr commitment to webinar style training on concussions, risk management, and a background check). 

The league recognizes coaches as the most essential component of successful teams, and we have many resources that can help you succeed as a coach.

Level 1 Coaches: all training can be completed electronically in the Pit Zone. Level 1 coaches are ride sweeps only.

Level 2 Coaches: have 4 hr NICA Approved First Aid, CPR, MTB 101, and field hours. Level 2 coaches can be ride leads or ride sweeps.

Level 3 Coaches: all Head Coaches and Team Directors are required to reach level 3. 8 hr NICA Approved First Aid is required, anyone is encouraged to complete the 8hr first aid, but it is not required for coaches below level 3.
