Pre-Season

Each season (Jan-May) begins with pre-season activities (Oct-Nov) like the Norcal Coach Retreat, Try-It-Out (Fun) Rides and Parent Info Night.  Fun rides are all about checking out the vibe of DEVO, our awesome rides, and checking in with other mountain bikers in our Piedmont community. We encourage both middle schoolers and their parents to ride with us!  

Fun Rides are at held at Joaquin Miller (JMP) and Redwood Regional Parks, meeting at Chabot Space & Science Center Parking Lot with the exception of our GRiT ride which meet nearby at JMP.

UPCOMING PRESEASON RIDES 

Sunday, October 18, 10 am - 12:30 pm: Point Pinole Regional Shoreline (Atlas Road Staging Area). Our easiest ride on flat gravel trails. Also a chance to learn about bike maintenance, safety and different types of bikes. 

Sunday, October 25, 10 am - 12:30 pm: Wildcat Regional Park (Alvarado Staging Area). Skills followed by an out and back along the Wildcat Creek Trail.

Sunday, November 1, 10 am - 12:30 pm: Joaquin Miller Park (Meadow below the Ranger Station). First ride with some climbing and descending, but mostly flat.

Sunday, November 8, 10 am - 12:30 pm: Chabot Regional Park. A roomier trail and still pretty close by. Meet at the Clyde Woolridge Staging Area.

Sunday, November 15, 10 am - 12:30 pm: China Camp State Park. Our closest “away” ride in San Rafael (~30 miles from Piedmont). Meet at the guard gate on N. San Pedro Road that heads into China Camp campsites. 

FAMILY INFO NIGHT for parents and student-athletes. Wednesday, November 18, 7 pm. Meet at PHS Makers Workshop (behind the PHS main office).
